The Center for Brain, Mind, and Kansei Sciences research is an expansive interdisciplinary hub that unites six departments: Affective Data Science, Affective Neuroscience, Stress Medicine, Brain Function Measurement & Control, Mental Health Education & Society, and International Affectome. Our center offers an MRI experimental setting—one that is exceptionally rare worldwide—which utilizes stimuli for all five senses. By presenting visual, auditory, gustatory, olfactory, and tactile stimuli within the MRI, we elucidate the specific brain regions where sensation and affect arise.
By integrating psychological experiments with data science, we are engaged in cutting-edge research that delves into the essence of human nature. We actively promote collaborative research both within and beyond the academic sphere and welcome joint projects with industry. Please feel free to contact us.
